Great Wonders of Egypt

Yasmine was amazing as she guided us thru chaotic Cairo! A little hurried the 1st day in order to meet the WWE itinerary (no fault of her own), and did extras for us in finding delicious restaurants, and taking/sharing pictures of us during our adventures in Egypt. I would suggest to have her continue on with the journey into Luxor, rather than splitting our trip up with different guides … just a suggestion.

The service our small group received was impeccable, I appreciated being greeted and walked through the Cairo airport. Everyone was very professional. Special thanks to our two guides, Yasmine and Naglaa, your knowledge made our fast paced tour fun and informative. 

We had a whirlwind tour (due to our time constraints) of old Cairo, the Pyramids of Giza and the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities with Yasmine. She was a fountain of information and shared her knowledge generously in a way that made it very interesting. Given our limited time, Yasmine kept us focused and ensured that we saw all of the most significant sights (especially in old Cairo and the Museum, where I suspect we could have spent days exploring). I thoroughly enjoyed Yasmine as a warm and friendly guide who provided us with a wonderful introduction to the highlights of Cairo!

Wonderful experience with Great Wonders top to bottom. We even had an issue with the river cruise and Basem was fast, responsive, and went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make it right. You do not see this often in customer service! Also, our tour guide in Cairo, Yasmine, was spectacular and worked really hard to make it a special couple of days for our small group. We miss her already and highly recommend this company!

This tour was varied and our guide Enas was friendly, interesting, and knowledgeable. She gave us good background on the sites and Egyptian society in general. Excellent!

Mike met us from the plane when we first arrived in Cairo, took us back to get our transfer to Aswan, and then facilitated our trip to GEM.  He was fantastic - he made everything run like clockwork, and took all the anxiety out of it.  All of the input that great wonders of Egypt provided to our trip was outstanding _ thank you very much!

The service we used from the Cairo Marriott to the airport was an important service as it wasn’t just the rude to the airport but when we arrived at the airport the representative walked into the terminal with us to check into the Egypt air counter AND went thru security with us too and helped with our luggage. It was an invaluable service snd totally worth the cost.

Transfer From Hotel to Cairo Airport Escorted - Van

Excellent service. My pickup at the hotel was very early and the escort and driver were waiting for me. The escort helped me through the various stages of the check-in, used his knowledge of the airport and contacts to expedite my check-in. 

This was a very well-planned trip which allowed us to see the pyramids as well as Old Cairo. We were allowed a special visit to the space underneath the step pyramid, led by the archaeologist Dr. Ashraf. Moving on to Luxor, we stayed in great comfort at the Sonesta St. George hotel, and visited many spectacular tombs and temples. We had further private visits to the tombs of the early kings in Abydos. The temple of Hatchetsup and the temples at Abydos and Dendra were spectacular. All the way we were given the benefit of a very knowledgeable guide (Hend) and an expert tour manager (Kiro) who organised various additional excursions for the group members.

This trip was a fantastic experience. We covered a huge range of archaeological sites including some more unusual ones such as the tomb of Senenmut and the the first dynasty tombs at Abydos.
The standard of the hotels and transport was excellent.

A truly wonderful tour.  So well organised beforehand and one of the Great Wonders team, Kyrollos, was on hand throughout to assist with any requests for additional visits from members during the tour as well as keeping everything running smoothly.  He was extremely helpful and thoughtful.  We were equally lucky to have what must be one of the best Egyptological guides in the business with us throughout.  Hend is very knowledgeable, very capable and able to relate to visitors at a number of levels including the more academic visitor.  In spite of that she is also very approachable.  In spite of visiting Egypt a number of times, I learned a lot from Hend’s commentary; sometimes new perspectives and sometimes things I hadn’t seen or been aware of before.  Altogether a dream team!

 It was wonderful - the itinerary, our tour manager Kouros, our guide, Hend , the hotels and all the wonderful food we enjoyed made it the so very special.  \

This tour was my 9th visit to Egypt and has been the best so far.

I am soo grateful for this special trip and will never forget what we were able to see, especially the sites with special permissions access. I´ve really seen some of the Wonders of Ancient Egypt! Michael was so friendly and most helpful with everything involved. Ahmed was an engaging and entertaining tour guide. John Billman was exactly the Egyptologist the tour needed with his vast knowledge, experience and understated passion. I´ve met a nice bunch of Egyptophiles, who were actually interested in the objects and places whithout taking selfies and knowing and appreciating exactly what that tour was all about. That is a rarity these days and so refreshing. Good accomodations and tasteful food.  I´ve always felt safe. THANK YOU so much!

Excellent alround trip, everything ran smoothly. 

This trip was fascinating and a great deal was achieved in the time. Michael and Ahmed were both very helpful and efficient. This trip was set up for specialists and would have been too much for ordinary travellers.   

An excellent itinerary, although physically demanding. The practical arrangements ran very smoothly and the accommodation and meals were of a high standard throughout.

The only drawback was that the Egyptian guide was long-winded but lacked the the depth of knowledge to add value to the experience of a group of travellers who are avid students of Egyptology.   




A very well organised and fascinating tour. As newcomers to Egypt it was wonderful to visit so many classic sites as well as enjoy the special permissions access and in depth knowledge of our guides.
The size of the group was small enough to allow everyone to keep up and hear what was being said.

We used the service to be picked up from Cairo Airport and taken to our hotel.    We arrived late at night and were exhausted from 18 hours of travel.    We were met right after deboarding our plane.  Our guide walked us through the Visa process, passport process, picked up our bags and brought us to a waiting van.    He had already gotten our room key.   He showed us the breakfast room and meeting room locations.    The entire process took less than an hour.   We were so happy with the service, we decided to use it several weeks later to get from our hotel to the airport.

Such an amazing experience, highly recommend. It was well organized and the pilot was excellent. I was very nervous and appreciated the clear instructions/briefing he provided so I knew what to expect.

We were welcomed at the airport and speedily processed through the visa line. Our tour guide was informed, engaging and open to answering all our questions. We could tell he really enjoyed Egyptology and sharing it with visitors. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time touring Sakkara’s step pyramid site and Dahshur site of bent pyramid & red pyramid.  In our half day tour, we learned a great deal about these oldest pyramids and the comparisons with the pyramids of Giza!  Guide and driver were excellent.  We recommend them to all tourists and thank them for helping us to enjoy little visited sites!
